Hard floors fail in specific ways. A garage floor takes a tonne concentrated into the base of an axle stand. A gym floor takes a loaded barbell dropped from waist height, over and over. A workshop floor takes swarf, solvents and whatever gets knocked off the bench. A commercial unit takes pallet trucks and footfall all day. What these have in common is that the usual answer, 7mm of virgin PVC, was not built for any of them. It flexes, deforms and discolours under exactly the conditions it was sold for.

VALT is our answer. 14mm solid construction in 100% post-consumer recycled polypropylene and PVC, made in the UK at our own factory. Twice the thickness of the standard tile, R11 certified for slip resistance in wet and oily conditions, and laid loose without adhesive so any single tile can be lifted for substrate access or swapped if it ever gets damaged.

Installation is tool-free across the field of the floor. Sweep the substrate, click the tiles together, cut the perimeter with a fine-tooth jigsaw blade. Four tiles per square metre at 500mm x 500mm, so a single garage or a home gym is usually a job of under an hour. Offcuts go back into the layout, so there is very little waste. Mix colours if you want zones, lifting platforms marked out, or a checkerboard.

Every square metre of VALT locks up around 12kg of recycled plastic that would otherwise have gone to landfill. That is the whole reason IBRAN exists: we started in 2014 because plastic waste is a raw material that nobody was treating like one. When a VALT floor eventually reaches end of life, send it back to us and we will recycle it.

The range is built around VALT® Pro, our heaviest-duty specification, suited to vehicles and to anything else that puts real load through a small contact patch.
