Introducing MonoVerde Plastics: Our New Venture with eMould (UK) Ltd

IBRAN and eMould are joining forces to create MonoVerde Plastics Ltd, a new, state-of-the-art facility making best-in-class ground stabilisation, drainage and landscaping products. Here's why we're doing it, and what it means.

When we started IBRAN, we set out to do one thing well: keep waste plastic locked up in products that last, and make them here in Britain. Everything since has come back to that. Over the past five years alone we've supplied more than 100,000 ground reinforcement projects and 17,000 drainage projects, every one of them made in the UK from 100% recycled plastic.

Today we're taking the biggest step in our history. Together with eMould (UK) Ltd, a family-run injection moulder based in Syston, Leicestershire, we're forming a new company: MonoVerde Plastics Ltd. This isn't one of us making products for the other. It's the two of us combining everything we know into a single, purpose-built facility, designed from the ground up to produce best-in-class ground stabilisation, drainage and landscaping products.

eMould has been making plastic components for British and European manufacturers since 1985. We didn't join forces with them because they were the biggest option or the cheapest. We did it because they think about this work the way we do. They take recycled material seriously, they treat every product as if it were their own, and they've spent forty years quietly getting the details right. Put their moulding expertise alongside ours in recycled-plastic products and the markets we serve, and MonoVerde becomes something neither of us could have built alone.

Here's what it means.

More capacity, built for what's coming

Demand for sustainable ground stabilisation and drainage has grown faster than any single production line can keep up with. If we're honest, the real constraint on IBRAN for a while now hasn't been ideas or ambition. It's been increasing capacity to keep up with ever-growing demand. MonoVerde answers that directly.

Rather than stretching what we already had, we're building something purpose-made. eMould brings forty years of moulding experience, injection capacity up to 560 tonnes, in-house toolmaking and skilled hand finishing, all under one roof. Most manufacturers can't offer that range in one place. Just as importantly, they know how to work recycled plastic properly, which is harder than it sounds. Recycled polymer doesn't behave like virgin material. It takes patience and real experience to mould it to a consistent standard, batch after batch. Building MonoVerde around that experience means we can make far more without ever cutting a corner on the quality or the recycled content our products are built on.

Two Midlands manufacturers, staying close to home

We've always kept our supply chain small and regional, because we believe it's the right way to work and the right thing for the planet. Shorter journeys, lower emissions, and partners we can actually drive to and shake hands with. MonoVerde is that belief made permanent.

IBRAN in Nottingham and eMould in Leicestershire sit barely half an hour apart. Bringing our two operations together keeps design, tooling, moulding, finishing and dispatch inside the same corner of the country. When everything happens under one roof rather than an ocean away, problems get sorted in a phone call. It keeps skilled jobs in the Midlands, it supports British manufacturing, and it strengthens the circular economy we care about, with recycled material processed close to where it's used.

Room to grow beyond the UK

For most of its history, eMould has helped international manufacturers reach British customers, handling everything from the first drawing to the final delivery so businesses abroad could get to market here quickly. MonoVerde puts that same experience to work the other way round.

eMould already serves European manufacturers and looks after customers in several languages and markets. Combining that reach and fulfilment know-how with our products gives MonoVerde a real, practical way to take recycled-plastic ground stabilisation, drainage and landscaping beyond the UK and Ireland and into mainland Europe, moulded, finished and shipped from one place, with one team accountable for it.

Ready to move, and quick about it

The whole point of building a single facility is that everything happens under one roof. Toolmaking, injection moulding, finishing, inspection, packing and dispatch, from a single specification to a finished pallet. No handoffs between separate suppliers. No one passing the blame when something slips. And the kind of responsiveness eMould is known for, a reply within 24 hours to every drawing that lands on the desk.

For us, that means MonoVerde can move quickly. We can bring new products to life sooner, meet busy-season demand without tying up money in machinery we'd only use part of the year, and get from an idea to something ready for our customers in a fraction of the usual time. More and more people want sustainable options, and they want them without a long wait. Being ready on both counts is exactly where we want to be.

What comes next

MonoVerde Plastics Ltd is the start of a new chapter for both companies, and it's built on shared values rather than short-term convenience. Over the coming months we'll be scaling up production, widening our range and opening up new markets, all on the foundations we've always stood for: made properly, locally and from local, recycled plastic.
